The news is filled with the earthquake in Haiti and the pictures of the people have filled my heart with pain. Seeing the suffering makes me even more grateful for what I have as I'm sure it does a lot of people. My prayers go out to the people of a country that has had its share of problems.

You said it! Sometimes it takes a tragedy to make us appreciate all that we truly have. I need to try to be more grateful each day ;).
I have thyroid cancer and my apartment flooded this week. I have been feeling very sorry for myself-until I read about Haiti! Now I donated the little I had and I realized how lucky I am!
((((((((((PRAYERS))))))))))
go out to all the people affected -I work with a young lady from Haiti whose family is still there -yesterday at work her cell phone kept ringing with calls from some of her family - all but one of her relatives are accounted for.
Since her husband is in the military, it has been a while since she has seen some of her relatives.
My fingers are crossed and the one remaining relative is in my prayers.
My heart also goes out to the people of Haiti, and they are in my prayers. And you are right, it makes us thankful for what we have in our life
I think I am going to donate something just trying to figure out what is the best way. I had thyroi cancer and recovered fully, Wish you the best of luck MArcy
That makes 2 of us, Helen. So much to be grateful for in my life even on the days that don't seem to go right.

Thank you LeslieJane. Every prayer or positive thought helps.
Debby, how wonderful! I'm sure Marcy can achieve the same results.
