I try to focus on the things I’m thankful for and that keeps me positive. I feel especially thankful today. Thankful for the love in my life from family and friends. Grateful that my health is as good, if not better than in my twenties and thirties, partially due to taking better care of my body though a better diet and exercise. Delighted with the growing success I’ve had in a career that I always dreamed about, but allowed distractions to push it to the backlist. And especially glad I’ve come to recognize that possessions don’t make a successful life, but that the giving of ones self does.
The calendar tells me this week is Thanksgiving, a day set aside to focus on thankful. But I’ve come to realize that it doesn’t require a special day and I attempt to end each day with a “thank you” for all the things in my life for which I’m grateful, no matter how small, even on the days that I have to search for things to be thankful about.

Lizzie, I didn't know you were blogging!
I agree, we need to be thankful everyday. It's so easy to get caught up in the small stuff and forget how good we have it.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Helen.
The time has come...LOL.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
